The Musée de la Vie romantique stands at the foot of Montmartre hill in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, 16 rue Chaptal, Paris, France in an 1830 hôtel particulier facing two twin-studios, a greenhouse, a small garden, and a paved courtyard. The museum is open daily except Monday. Permanent collections are free. An admission fee is charged for temporary exhibitions. The nearest métro stations are Pigalle, Blanche, Saint-Georges, and Liège. The Musée de la Vie romantique is one of the 14 City of Paris Museums that have been incorporated since January 1, 2013 in the public institution Paris Musées.

In French-speaking countries, a hôtel-Dieu was originally a hospital for the poor and needy, run by the Catholic Church. Nowadays these buildings or institutions have either kept their function as a hospital, the one in Paris being the oldest and most renowned, or have been converted into hotels, museums, or general purpose buildings . Therefore, as a secondary meaning, the term hôtel-Dieu can also refer to the building itself, even if it no longer houses a hospital. リール・ヴィルヌーヴ=ダスク・アウトサイダーアート近現代美術館 (フランス語:Lille Métropole Musée d'art moderne, d'art contemporain et d'art brut)は、近現代美術専門の美術館である。 フランス文館名の頭文字をとって「LaM(ラム)」と呼ばれて親しまれている。 延床面積約4,000m2の展示スペースに総作品数約4,300から4,800点以上のコレクションを擁するLaMは、 20世紀および21世紀芸術の主要な構成要素である近代美術(モダンアート)から現代美術(コンテンポラリーアート)まで、および多数のアウトサイダー・アートのコレクションを一堂に観賞できるヨーロッパで唯一の美術館とされている。 同敷地内には図書館が併設され、周囲は彫刻作品のある公園になっている。

The Musée d'Art et d'Histoire , is a museum located in the historical city of Saint-Denis, France, in the northern outskirts of Paris.The museum, established in 1982, is located in an ancient cloister of the order of the Carmelites, founded in 1625, not far from the Basilique Saint-Denis. The museum holds displays about the Carmelites, the Paris Commune and the surrealist poet, Paul Éluard. There is also an archaeological department focusing on the ancient finds in and around the Basilique Saint-Denis. From September to December 2007, the museum had a display about the Silk Road, entitled "Marco Polo et le Livre des Merveilles". Recommended access is underground Metro station Saint-Denis Porte de Paris, on Line 13, located about 100 meters south of the museum.
