グレートブリテン及び北アイルランド連合王国 United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 国の標語:Dieu et mon droit(フランス語:神と我が権利) 国歌:God Save the Queen(英語)神よ女王を護り賜え グレートブリテン及び北アイルランド連合王国(グレートブリテンおよびきたアイルランドれんごうおうこく、英: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: UK)は、ヨーロッパ大陸の北西岸に位置し、グレートブリテン島・アイルランド島北東部・その他多くの島々から成る立憲君主制国家。首都はロンドン。日本語における通称の一例としてイギリス、英国(えいこく)がある(→#国名)。 イングランド、ウェールズ、スコットランド、北アイルランドという歴史的経緯に基づく4つの「カントリー(国)」が、同君連合型の単一の主権国家を形成している。しかし、政治制度上は単一国家の代表的なモデルであり、連邦国家ではない。 国際連合安全保障理事会常任理事国の一国(五大国)であり、G7・G20に参加する。GDPは世界10位以内に位置する巨大な市場を持ち、ヨーロッパにおける四つの大国「ビッグ4」の一国である。ウィーン体制が成立した1815年以来、世界で最も影響力のある国家を指す列強の一つに数えられる。また、民主主義、立憲君主制など近代国家の基本的な諸制度が発祥した国でもある。 イギリスの擬人化としてはジョン・ブル、ブリタニアが知られる。

The Devonshire Collection of Period Costume is a collection of historic costumes housed in the Totnes Fashion and Textiles Museum in the town of Totnes, south Devon, in southwest England.The collection includes clothing for men, women, and children, dating from the 18th century to the end of the 20th century. An annually updated exhibition is displayed in Bogan House, a Tudor merchant's house at 43 High Street, Totnes.

Dillington House

Dillington House is a residential adult education college near Ilminster in the parish of Whitelackington, Somerset, England. The present house, which dates from the 16th century, is owned by Lord Cameron of Dillington and operated by Somerset County Council. There has been a house on the site since before the Norman Conquest, probably taking advantage of the nearby chalybeate spring nearby.

Djanogly City Academy

Djanogly City Academy is a City Academy secondary school in Nottingham, England. It has been open since 2003, when it replaced the oversubscribed Djanogly CTC, a City Technology College, which was then independent from local authority control. The academy specialises in the use of ICT and has been awarded the ICT Mark. It is named after its sponsor, textile millionaire Sir Harry Djanogly. Djanogly formerly operated on two sites – the 14–19 Centre in the old CTC building in Sherwood Rise, and the 11–14 Centre in a new building designed by Foster & Partners on the site of the former Forest Comprehensive School on Gregory Boulevard, opposite the Forest Recreation Ground. The Sherwood Rise site now accommodates the primary aged children. However, towards the end of the school year, year 11 students are accommodated here to study and take their gcse examinations.

Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire

North Kesteven

Doddington Hall is, from the outside, an Elizabethan prodigy house or mansion complete with walled courtyards and a gabled gatehouse. Inside it was largely updated in the 1760s. It is located in the village of Doddington, to the west of the city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England.

Down House

Downe

Down House is the former home of the English naturalist Charles Darwin and his family. It was in this house and garden that Darwin worked on his theories of evolution by natural selection which he had conceived in London before moving to Down. The Grade I listed building stands in Luxted Road 0.25 miles south of Downe, a village 14.25 miles south east of London's Charing Cross, which was still known as Down when he moved there in 1842. In Darwin's day, Downe was a parish in Kent: it subsequently came under Bromley Rural District, and since 1965 has lain within the London Borough of Bromley. The house, garden and grounds are in the guardianship of English Heritage, have been restored and are open to the public.

Eden Camp Museum

Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum is a large Second World War-related museum near Malton in North Yorkshire in England. It occupies a former Second World War prisoner-of-war camp of 33 huts. After the prisoners left, the camp was used for storage and then abandoned. Its grounds then became overgrown. As the museum was being set up, much clearing, as well as repair and renovation of the buildings, was required. One of its buildings contains three human torpedoes and a "Sleeping Beauty" Motorised Submersible Canoe.The museum is also restoring a Super Sherman to its original working classic. The museum also has a reproduction V1.

Eltham Palace

Eltham Palace is a large house at Eltham in southeast London, England, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The house consists of the medieval great hall of a former royal residence, to which an Art Deco extension was added in the 1930s. The hammerbeam roof of the great hall is the third-largest of its type in England, and the Art Deco interior of the house has been described as a "masterpiece of modern design". The house is owned by the Crown Estate and managed by English Heritage, which took over responsibility for the great hall in 1984 and the rest of the site in 1995.
