Reino Unido

Reino Unido , oficialmente Reino Unido da Grã-Bretanha e Irlanda do Norte , é um Estado soberano insular localizado em frente à costa noroeste do continente europeu. The Royal Yeomanry is the senior reserve light cavalry regiment of the British Army. Equipped with Supacat Jackal variants and the Land Rover RWMIK, their role is to conduct mounted and dismounted formation reconnaissance. The Regimental Headquarters is located in Leicester, with squadrons in Fulham, Nottingham, Dudley, Croydon , Telford and Leicester.The regiment is part of the Royal Armoured Corps and is paired with and supports the 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards . QDG and RY together form the light cavalry reconnaissance component of 7th Infantry Brigade , serving alongside six infantry battalions . The RY is one of three light cavalry reserve regiments in 1st Division. The Royal Yeomanry is the only British Army Reserve unit to have been awarded a battle honour since the Second World War.

The Ruskin Museum is a small local museum in Coniston, Cumbria, northern England. It was established in 1901 by W. G. Collingwood, an artist and antiquarian who had worked as secretary to art critic John Ruskin. The museum is both a memorial to Ruskin and a local museum covering the history and heritage of Coniston Water and the Lake District. The museum is a registered charity in England & Wales, constituted as The Coniston Institute and Ruskin Museum.

The Sir William Dunn School of Pathology is a Department within the University of Oxford. Its research programme includes the cellular and molecular biology of pathogens, the immune response, cancer and cardiovascular disease. It teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the medical sciences. The school is named for Sir William Dunn, 1st Baronet, of Lakenheath, whose will provided the initial funding. It is located towards the east end of South Parks Road, to the north of the city centre.

The Tolpuddle Martyrs were six agricultural labourers from the village of Tolpuddle in Dorset, England, who, in 1834, were convicted of swearing a secret oath as members of the Friendly Society of Agricultural Labourers. They were arrested on a legal technicality during a labour dispute against cutting wages before being convicted in R v Lovelass and Others and sentenced to penal transportation to Australia. They were pardoned in 1836 after mass protests by sympathisers and support from Lord John Russell and returned to England between 1837 and 1839. The Tolpuddle Martyrs became a popular cause for the early union and workers' rights movements.

The Tolsey Museum is a local museum in the town of Burford, west Oxfordshire, England.The Tolsey Museum is located on Burford's main street in a Tudor market/court house. It is a black and white timber-fronted building on stone pillars. In medieval times, the building was a meeting point for wool merchants. Tolls and taxes were also paid here. The building was included in the BBC Domesday Project.The collection covers local history, culture, and industry. Exhibits at the museum include the town maces, charters and seals of guilds, a doll's house, and objects related to brewing, rope-making, and stone quarrying.

Middlesex University London is a public research university in Hendon, north-west London, England. The name of the university is taken from its location within the historic county boundaries of Middlesex. The university's history can be traced to 1878 when its founding institute, St Katharine's College, was established in Tottenham as a teacher training college for women. Having merged with several other institutes, the university was consolidated in its current form in 1992. It is one of the post-1992 universities. Middlesex has a student body of over 19,000 in London and over 37,000 globally.
