La chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone si trova al centro del lato occidentale di Piazza Navona, a Roma. È intitolata a sant'Agnese, una fanciulla che secondo la tradizione cattolica fu martirizzata all'età di dodici anni durante la persecuzione dei cristiani sotto Diocleziano nello stadio di Domiziano, che si trovava esattamente sullo stesso posto occupato ora dalla piazza e del quale la piazza ricalca la forma. Nell'VIII secolo il posto divenne un luogo di culto.
Viene profondamente restaurata a partire dal 2004 su iniziativa del rettore Don Gianni Todescato, da lui anche riaperta al pubblico e adibita a sede concertistica.
La chiesa di San Pantalon è un edificio religioso della città di Venezia, nel sestiere di Dorsoduro. Si affaccia sul campo omonimo, non lontano da campo Santa Margherita. San Pantalón è il corrispondente veneto di san Pantaleone martire. San Pantaleone di Nicomedia in Bitinia ha sempre goduto di una particolare devozione a Venezia. Egli era un medico, vissuto fra il III ed il IV secolo, e fu martirizzato durante le persecuzioni di Diocleziano il giorno 27 luglio di un anno fra il 305 e il 310.
San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore è una chiesa di Milano di origine paleocristiana, ricostruita nel Cinquecento e già sede del più importante monastero femminile della città appartenente all'ordine benedettino. Collocata all'angolo tra via Luini e corso Magenta, è decorata internamente con un vasto ciclo affreschi di scuola leonardesca e viene indicata come la "Cappella Sistina" di Milano o della Lombardia.
Il San Francisco Museum of Modern Art è situato nella zona di Yerba Buena, ai piedi del Pacific Bell Building, ed è il principale museo interamente dedicato all'arte moderna della città di San Francisco. È conosciuto semplicemente come SFMOMA. Attualmente la collezione del museo conta più di 26.000 pezzi tra dipinti, sculture e fotografie.
La basilica di San Clemente a Roma, dedicata a papa Clemente I, sorge nella valle tra l'Esquilino e il Celio, sulla direttrice che unisce il Colosseo al Laterano, nel rione Monti. Ha la dignità di basilica minore. Attualmente è retta dalla provincia irlandese dei domenicani.
La basilica che oggi vediamo è stata edificata nel XII secolo ed è collegata al convento domenicano. Il complesso riveste una grande importanza perché si trova al di sopra di antichi edifici interrati per due livelli di profondità, il più antico dei quali risale al I secolo d.C.; i due livelli al di sotto dell'attuale basilica sono stati riscoperti e portati alla luce dal 1857 grazie a padre Joseph Mullooly O.P., allora priore del convento. I tre livelli sono, dall'alto: la basilica attuale, medioevale; la basilica antica, in un edificio già dimora di un patrizio romano; un insieme di costruzioni romane di epoca post-neroniana. Ad un quarto livello sotto i precedenti appartengono tracce di costruzioni romane più antiche.
Queste sovrapposizioni, che si riscontrano in altri edifici romani, sono avvenute in modo particolarmente evidente in virtù delle notevoli sedimentazioni dovute alla posizione ed a particolari avvenimenti storici .
I primi due livelli sotterranei sono stati portati alla luce e consolidati, e sono oggi in buona parte comodamente percorribili e visitabili.
La ricchezza di elementi architettonici, artistici e storici, comprendenti l'arco di vita di quasi tutta l'era cristiana, ne fa un monumento unico nella storia dell'arte di Roma.

There is also a category of membership, at a reduced cost, for retired people.

Roy Miles was a colourful London art dealer who was one of the first dealers to recognise the commercial potential of the art of the former Soviet block.Born Roy Marsh in Liverpool, Roy took his step-father's name of Miles and moved to London at an early age to work for an antique dealer. He quickly changed to hairdressing and owned a salon in London's West End. In the late 1960s he began in business as an art dealer.
Miles specialised first in British Victorian art and later toured the former Soviet Union buying Socialist Realist art that he sold for a huge markup. In the 1970s and 80s he was able to capitalise on the rising status of London as an art centre and his innate entrepreneurial skills and flair for self-publicity. Miles' parties at his various galleries became legendary social events, and Miles was associated with names such as Rudolf Nureyev, Edward Heath, Lord Forte, Raine Spencer, Ossie Clark, the Duke of Devonshire and Jonathan Aitken.Publicity material, correspondence, photographs, visitors' books and printed material from the Roy Miles Gallery c. 1973 to 1998 forms part of the collection of the Tate Gallery Archive.

The Robert McLaughlin Gallery is a public art gallery in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest public art gallery in the Regional Municipality of Durham, of which Oshawa is a part. Costruita sulla facciata di Palazzo Poli da Nicola Salvi, il concorso indetto da papa Clemente XII nel 1731 era stato inizialmente vinto dallo scultore francese Lambert-Sigisbert Adam ma successivamente l'incarico passò a Salvi: si dice che il cambiamento fosse dovuto al fatto che il pontefice non voleva affidare l'opera a uno straniero; invece, un'altra versione, spiega che Adam doveva ritornare in Francia.

The Peale Museum, officially the Municipal Museum of the City of Baltimore, was a museum of paintings and natural history, located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It occupied the first building in the Western Hemisphere to be designed and built specifically as a museum. The museum was created by Charles Willson Peale and his son Rembrandt Peale . It functioned separately as Baltimore City's historical museum while the original structure was being rebuilt, restored, and renovated in 1930–1931, and then merged with other historic sites, houses and museums in the early 1980s under the expansive efforts of a new executive director, with the name of the Baltimore City Life Museums and a broader mission in conjunction with the other historical locations/sites/structures in Baltimore.
After opening a new three-story exhibition gallery, uniquely using the old cast-iron façade of the razed Fava Fruit Company and being re-assembled on the new structure facing North Front Street and the parallel new President Street boulevard , the new gallery and the B.C.L.M. ran into financial difficulties in the first year after the grand opening, coincidentally during the bicentennial celebration of Baltimore's establishment as a city. The Peale branch of the City Life Museums closed with the other branches, historic houses and sites later in 1997, after being refused a one-year extension of its five-year subsidy of about $300,000 annually by then Mayor Kurt Schmoke. Its large collections from over 66 years of original existence were disassembled, transferred and handed over to the Maryland Historical Society, founded 1844, now located on the city block on the southwest corner of West Monument Street and Park Avenue, centered in the old Enoch Pratt Mansion and adjacent research library and museum exhibition areas building. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965.Today, the museum is being renovated and relaunched as the Peale Center for Baltimore History and Architecture through a partnership between Baltimore's Department of General Services, which owns the building, and the Board of the Peale Center for Baltimore History and Architecture, a 501 tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. It is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but anticipates re-opening soon.
Parmiter's School is a co-educational state comprehensive school with academy status in Garston, Hertfordshire, close to the outskirts of North West London, England with a long history. Although the school admits pupils of all abilities it is partially selective. It is currently the most oversubscribed school in Hertfordshire, and has often been recognised by the DfES for being one of the highest performing schools in the country by value added and score as a mixed ability school.
